«Atlantidei» is the debut album by the Eden Inverted Collective EIC. A unique quintet comprising of four young classical percussionists and the jazz clarinettist Zoe Pia, also performing here on launeddas and electronics. Inspired by the exhibition "Post–Eden" by artists Luca Zarattini and Denis Riva (creators of the cover artwork), this album explores the relationship between humankind and nature. The instrumental setup is remarkably varied. Combined with Zoe Pia’s reeds, these percussion instruments give rise to rich evocative sonic landscapes. he creative starting point of «Atlantidei» stems from a circumnavigation of the south–western coast of Sardinia, one of the oldest emerged lands in Europe, which some scholars have identified with Plato’s mythical Atlantis. In modern times, the legendary island has attracted the interest of scholars such as Athanasius Kircher (1602–1680), who influenced, among others, Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven. In his treatise «Mundus subterraneus» (1665), the "Master of a hundred arts" drew an imaginary map of Atlantis that inspired the conception of the album’s eight tracks, suggesting their titles as well.
