Milos Zeleznak Acoustic Trio is a continuation of a project that began in 2007 with the album «Milos Zeleznak Trio». This time Slovak guitarist and composer – a vital voice in the Central European jazz music scene – is joined by Italian Enea Bari on double bass and Ján Oriško on drums. The group explores new sonic territories, drawing from decades of composition and performance, deep listening practices, and bold improvisational dialogue. Their repertoire consists of original compositions that blend composed themes with areas of improvisation, including free improvisation created spontaneously on stage. In 2024 the trio recorded their latest album, «Untitled». Miloš Železňák previously released a quartet album in 2020, «Dusevne vlastnictvo», featuring saxophonist Erik Rothenstein. The trio’s last album, «V bezvetri a bezcasi», dates back to 2015. Rooted in the deep traditions of free improvisation, jazz minimalism, and contemporary ambient music, «Untitled» defies categorization. It is both fragile and intense — a conversation between instruments and the spaces they inhabit. The record creates textured sonic landscapes that feel as spontaneous as they are intentional. “Untitled is about letting go of control” – says Železňák – “Each piece is a moment of shared listening, not performance. The title reflects this – it’s not a statement, but a space”.
