Una registrazione “domestica”, studiata, stratificata nel tempo; un lavoro artigianale, prodotto di una manualità, pianistica e tecnica, casalinga dal sapore lontano, ma dal respiro modernissimo ed internazionale.

Di questo viaggio che Gaspare di Lieto compie nel “Great American Songbook”, colpisce la profonda attenzione rivolta alla melodia, che viene esaltata e rivisitata attraverso una propria lettura ed una improvvisazione che non perde mai di vista il tema principale.

Un approccio originale permeato di blues e nel solco del grande pianismo afroamericano, ma vissuto con una sensibilità tutta sua che rende il linguaggio usato del tutto personale.

A “domestic” recording, studied, layered over time; a handcrafted work, the product of a manual, pianistic and technical, homemade craftsmanship with a distant flavor, but with a very modern and international breath.

Of this journey that Gaspare di Lieto takes in the “Great American Songbook,” one is struck by the deep attention paid to melody, which is enhanced and revisited through its own reading and improvisation that never loses sight of the main theme.

An original approach permeated with the blues and in the groove of the great African-American pianism, but lived with a sensibility all its own that makes the language used entirely personal.
