X-NONE «Anna», the new album by Nagual, alias Giovanni Ancorato. It’s a work steeped in Latin American aromas, where the Venetian tenor saxophonist leads a tight–knit quartet that has in the piano of Paolo Vianello another of his most inspired voices. Perfectly right is revealed in this regard the refined bass–and–drum team by Paolo Andriolo and Roberto Rossi, who are today in Italy among the major and most sought–after specialists of Brazilian music. Samba pra Elis is one of the three songs in which the quartet is joined by the deep and warm voice of Silvia Donati, particularly comfortable with Bossa Nova. The song, composed (words and music) by the leader, is dedicated to one of the greatest singers of Brazilian Popular Music, the unforgettable Elis Regina.
