Press Release

RAMOUR is the debut album by Jean Fontamar and Laurianne Langevin, french artists that live in Italy since 17 years.

Out January 24th on Tǔk Voice, this is a debut for the label by Paolo Fresu, who is also a guest on the tracklist.

The word consort refers to english baroque music ensembles, and emphasizes the deep continuity that links baroque improvisation and jazz improvisation; but consort is also a group that has decided to share the same fate.

9 love songs, from the most troubled to the brightest, born in the wake of the french chanson tradition, and which, thanks to the encounter with the ensemble, synthesize various influences: jazz, pop, electro, folk and early music.

Among the musicians involved you can find Vito de Lorenzi (drums and percussion) and Roberto Gagliardi (alto sax).

Finally, two “veterans” of the label occupy a special place: Valerio Daniele, often behind the mixer and now as guitarist and effects manipulator, and Marco Bardoscia, who celebrates the milestone of twenty recordings for our catalog.

“Ramour” is the encounter between the rigor of composition and the freedom of improvisation, between modern sounds with a classical breath, between France and Salento.

The cover artwork is a collage by Jean Fontamar entitled “Floating Kiss.”
