TOGETHERNESS

“TOGETHERNESS” è il nuovo album di Giancarlo Russo, una sorta di antologia per celebrare i suoi trenta anni di carriera come musicista jazz, compositore di colonne sonore e produttore.
Il compositore ha riunito i tanti musicisti che hanno fatto parte del suo percorso musicale, tutti strumentisti di grande prestigio, con i quali ha realizzato un disco ricco ed elegante, di grande impatto sonoro ed emotivo.

Un inno alla collaborazione e alla solidarietà.
Il disco contiene 14 tracce, tutte composte, arrangiate e prodotte da Giancarlo Russo e vanta la partecipazione di alcuni ospiti internazionali, fra cui il chitarrista Mike Stern, il sassofonista Bob Franceschini e la Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
 

“TOGETHERNESS” is the new album by Giancarlo Russo, a sort of anthology to celebrate his thirty-years career as a jazz musician, soundtracks composer and producer. The composer gathered musicians who have been part of his musical journey, all instrumentalists of great prestige, with whom he realized a rich and elegant record, with great sound and emotional impact.

A hymn to collaboration and solidarity.

The album contains 14 tracks, all composed, arranged and produced by Giancarlo Russo and boasts the partecipation of some international guests, including guitarist Mike Stern, saxophonist Bob Franceschini and the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Sono qui per ricordarmi di ricordare cos’è un Essere Umano.

A ricordare perché è un’eccezione ritrovarsi a parlare d’amore in un gruppo di amici, invece che solo di politica o di sport o di sesso

a ricordare perché è un’eccezione concedersi qualcosa solo perché ci da’ piacere, invece di pensare sempre a quello che devo, devo fare.

A ricordare perché è solo un’eccezione ricavare denaro dalla propria passione, invece che patire, obbligati a lavori alienanti, solo in nome del sacrificio.

A ricordare perché è un’eccezione riuscire a ringraziare per l’enorme abbondanza che abbiamo a disposizione, invece di lamentarsi e imprecare, concentrati sulla mancanza.

Sono qui per ricordare.

Ricordare perché è solo un’eccezione abbracciarsi, stringersi, invece di salutarsi freddi, senza neanche guardarsi negli occhi 

a ricordare perché è una eccezione fare entrare in casa nostra uno straniero invece di dare sempre quattro mandate alla porta.

A ricordare, ricordare…

A ricordare perché è solo un’eccezione ringraziare Madre Terra per le sue meraviglie e i suoi frutti, invece di offenderla ogni giorno con i nostri rifiuti.

Sono qui per ricordare,

ricordare come si fa a ricordarsi di essere Esseri Umani.

I'm here to remind me to remember what a Human Being is.

To remember why it’s an exception to find yourself talking about love in a group of friends, rather than just politics, sports or sex.

To remember why it is an exception to enjoy something just because it gives us pleasure, instead of thinking always about what we must do, must do. 

To remember why it’s just an exception to make money with your passion, instead of suffering, forced into alienating jobs, only in the name of sacrifice.

To remember why it is an exception to be able to thank for the enormous abundance we have, instead of complaining and swearing, focused on lack. 

I'm here to remember.

To remember why it's just an exception to hug each others, hold each others, instead of coldly greeting, without even looking into each other's eyes

to remember why it is an exception to let a foreigner into our house instead of always double locking the door. 

To Remember, to remember ...

To remember why it is only an exception to thank Mother Earth for her wonders and her fruits, instead of offending her every day with our waste.  I'm here to remember,

To remember how it’s done to remember to be Human Beings.
