Three years after releasing «The Last Coat of Pink», Kathya West, Danilo Gallo and Alberto Dipace continue their original interpretation of avant–garde rock repertoire with this intriguing and inspired «Water’s Break». After exploring the repertoire of Pink Floyd, the attention of the trio is now all turned to Icelandic singer-songwriter Bjork, one of the most visionary and innovative artists of the last thirty years. The Last Coat of Pink has also become the name of what is now a stable band.  By the exploration and reinterpretation of the repertoire of popular music, without distinction of genres and styles, the trio draws its original strength and its raison d'etre. Their tribute to Bjork is intimate and personal, but also respectful of their unforgettable songs that changed the course of contemporary music. The trio has now achieved an enviable interplay, and can master with confidence even the most difficult and complex material. Kathya West had perhaps the most difficult task. The comparison with Bjork could seem prohibitive: the result instead confirms her as one of the most sensitive, refined and complete voices of the Italian jazz scene. Songs like Joga, Stonemilker or Pleasure Is All Mine seem to take on a new life in a project as daring as it is unique; it doesn’t need to shout to make itself heard since whispers are noisier than cries in this suggestive musical journey.
