Lawyer and at the same time valuable singer, Italian crooner Sergio Carlino, from Naples, has never hidden his great admiration for Frank Sinatra, whose extraordinary voice more than any other inspired him. Two years from his previous album, «Ella & Frank», in which he partners with vocalist Emilia Zamuner, crown his dream of dedicating an entire work to the repertoire of his "beloved" Sinatra, and does it in the best way, being accompanied by a precious and competent rhythm section, led by pianist Marcello Tonolo. But it is valuable the contribution of both double bass player Domenico Santaniello (that in the title track song plays the cello) and both refined drummer Adam Pache. Alfonso Deidda’s wonderful alto sax finally gives us a valuable cameo in Blame It on My Youth. It is not only the “Voice” that has influenced Sergio Carlino, but also that prolific school of Neapolitan crooners such as Fausto Cigliano and Roberto Murolo. «My One and Only Love» is at the end a pleasant album, to enjoy from beginning to end.
