FRANCESCO ALEMANNO 5TET - "The Nearness Of You" (2017, Dodicilune/Ird)

Video Description

No depressed and nostalgic mood. The Nearness of You is a feverish and full of beautiful sensations’ work, a compact body, a balanced architecture over the drunk and overwhelming character of the drummer Francesco Alemanno. A young and fresh swing runs lightly on the most dazzling tunes. A humorous joke between the dark and flashing Jesse Davis sax, intersected by Andrea Sabatino's trumpet, and Antonio Ciacca's piano distances, always sustained by the sensual curves of Marco Vaggi's double bass.
