Press Release
Enrico Bracco – Chitarra
Francesco Poeti – basso elettrico -
Armando Sciommeri – batteria
All the things you are”.
The Secret Garden trio is the result of a well-established collaboration between three musicians who are particularly active on the Italian jazz scene:
Enrico Bracco – guitar
Francesco Poeti – electric bass
Armando Sciommeri – drums.
Their repertoire features original compositions by Enrico Bracco and Francesco Poeti, which blend beautifully with each other in their melodic flair and expressive depth. Their writing demonstrates a particular focus on unconventional harmonic and rhythmic exploration, along with the distinctive singability of their songs.
Their music draws inspiration from various stylistic currents, ranging from the jazz climate of the New York scene to the more rarefied atmospheres of European influences, all the way to the songbook of the great tradition, with particular reference to the "cool" atmospheres of Tristano. It's no coincidence that they chose to include—in addition to the standard "How Deep Is the Ocean" by Irving Berlin—contrafacts based on the melodic and harmonic inspiration of songs like "Stella by Starlight" and "All the Things You Are." Enriching the album is the presence of American saxophonist Matt Renzi, a musician with an extremely personal style, with whom the three leaders have collaborated several times in the past
