Friday 28 April sees the release in physical format and on all streaming platforms of ‘Post Atomic Zep', the brand new album by acclaimed Italian saxophonist Francesco Bearzatti, known for his approach to jazz that usually pushes beyond the boundaries of the genre. The album - on doKumenta Music label and distributed by TAG - is a completely distinctive tribute to the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin. Joined by a talented trio of musicians on bass, drums and live guitar effects, Bearzatti offers a fresh and electrifying version of some of the historic British band's greatest hits.Eleven tracks that reflect Bearzatti's peculiar saxophone style - capable of combining intricate melodies with daring, incredible improvisations - and resonate with influences ranging from free jazz to rock: 'Post Atomic Zep' promises to be a must for fans of adventurous music and artists such as John Zorn and The Bad Plus. The great Led Zeppelin classics such as Stairway To Heaven and Going To California are joined by some original compositions that are the result of the unique creative vision of Bearzatti and his collaborators. With its innovative approach to genre-bending and musical exploration, this album is sure to create a sensation in both the jazz and rock worlds."With this new project I wanted to close a very important circle for me, which started back in 2005 with the release of three pieces by Led Zeppelin combined as a suite. Finishing an entire work on the music of ZEP and being able to take it on tour was something I had in mind for years and I am happy to have finally succeeded. Putting the distortion on the saxophone and feeling Page and Plant at the same time has no equal for me who grew up with this music. With the freedom of improvisation, I am able to rework Led Zeppelin's repertoire in total freedom and thanks to the contribution of wonderful musicians like Gallo and Tamborrino the feeling of being a rock band is real." Venerdì 28 aprile esce in formato fisico e su tutte le piattaforme streaming “Post Atomic Zep”, il nuovissimo album dell’acclamato sassofonista italiano Francesco Bearzatti, noto per il suo approccio al jazz che è solito spingersi oltre i confini del genere. L’album - su etichetta doKumenta Music e distribuzione a cura di TAG - si costituisce come un omaggio del tutto originale all’iconica rock band dei Led Zeppelin. Affiancato da talentuosi musicisti al basso, alla batteria e agli effetti per chitarra dal vivo, Bearzatti offre una versione fresca ed elettrizzante di alcuni dei più grandi successi dello storico gruppo britannico. Undici tracce che riflettono lo stile caratteristico del sassofono di Bearzatti - capace di fondere melodie intricate a improvvisazioni audaci e rocambolesche  - e risuonano di influenze che vanno dal free jazz al rock: “Post Atomic Zep” promette di essere un must per gli appassionati di musica avventurosa e di artisti come John Zorn e The Bad Plus. Terminare un intero lavoro sulla musica degli ZEP e poterlo portare in tour era una cosa che avevo in mente da anni e sono felice di esserci finalmente riuscito. Mettere il distorsore sul sax e sentirsi contemporaneamente Page e Plant non ha eguali per me che sono cresciuto con questa musica.
