Recorded two years after the debut album, «Minimal Klezmer», «Oy Oioi» testifies to the artistic growth of the band. However, in 2014 something had changed: Luca finally released, the group had become a trio, enriched by the presence of some guests, one of whom, Pietro Pontini, would soon become a stable member of Minimal Klezmer. It is no coincidence that the violinist plays in all 14 tracks of the album. The other two guests, Alessandro Turchet and Jimmy Weinstein, are talented jazz musicians, the first from Udine, the second American who moved to Padova. In this second album, the band confirms its respectful yet irreverent approach to a genre now classic as Klezmer. Here we will find new sounds, new type of tunes and the already mentioned collaboration with new musicians, from jazz too, which increase the weight of improvisation in the music of Minimal Klezmer. Also this album, like the previous one, had never been released before on digital platforms.
